Through the testimonies of friends, family, and participants in Contea Gentile events, a portrait emerges of a community built on sharing, imagination, and the value of human connections.

The documentary also follows some of Nicolas's most symbolic experiences, such as the famous walk inspired by Frodo's journey and the construction, year after year, of a real hobbit village immersed in the greenery of Abruzzo. More than just a passion for The Lord of the Rings, the project becomes a reflection on time, dreams and the search for happiness in an increasingly frenetic society.

According to the authors, this is precisely the heart of the film: to demonstrate that even a seemingly impossible dream can transform into something concrete and capable of uniting people.

Il documentario “La mia anima ha fretta” racconta la storia di Nicolas Gentile, conosciuto da molti come “l’Hobbit italiano”.
